Living together in separateness or living in unity and oneness

The country borders in the world are just like fascia layers that separate the organs of our body. When pure and healthy, they support individual organ functions, providing them with a healthy inflow and outflow of all necessary nutrients (Jing), vital energy (Qi) and consciousness (Shen) without which they would stagnate and disintegrate. When the fascia becomes hard, toxic and polluted, the healthy, vital exchange of energy and matter is impeded. Just like in a world filled with fear, the separateness starts to grow. The healthy exchange of information is crippled by distortion, filtering and censorship, no longer allowing us to see the true nature of what is happening in the world around us. People are banned from visiting other countries, sharing their activities and interests with other groups of people, and restricted from healthy direct energy, matter and consciousness exchange, resulting in further increase of disconnection from each other and creation of a constrained, false reality brought by limited, personal and imposed views.

Just like in an unhealthy body, that would require larger and larger amounts of energy in order to breach blockages between the suffering organs, which permanently activates and gradually exhausts our adrenal glands, the separation barrier between countries and people is being dealt with growing fear resulting in an incredible accumulation of stress all over the world. Qi deficiency, blood stasis, cancers and tumors are the results of this disconnection due to energy and matter blockages in the body. Poor isolated countries, surveillance states, growing crime rate, toughened border security measures, continuous development at the expense of natural resources and the health of the planet, are the results of this disconnectedness in the society.

But can we really blame anyone for what is going on? Can we rebel against it and point our fingers at the system that we have created ourselves in order to keep us safe and secure? Can we hate those organs in our body that are sick and deteriorating because of our lack of awareness of their needs apart from our own personal needs? Should we start blaming each other, hating the people at power we have selected ourselves and those that serve us to protect our own safety? I doubt that anything else but further separateness and fear will come out from this kind of a mindset.
The unhealthy barrier, whether it happens on the level of an overly strict country border, a social group, a relationship between two people, a relationship between the intuitive and the rational mind, between organs or cells of the body, is created by disconnection due to a growing self-identity or ego which is a result of a growing fear or insecurity for the personal wellbeing. Paradoxically, the fear and insecurity for the personal wellbeing comes as a result of our disconnectedness from each other and the world around us.

Being unable to see how all of us together with the Earth are one and the same wonderful, sentient living being, and our personal death is nothing less than the death of our separateness from this living being and return of our consciousness to the complete whole with this being, we run from death and from any kind of impermanence. We try to accumulate riches so we can perpetuate our lineages, and have our kids and their kids to do that once we are gone, we vaccinate ourselves, take artificial medications that prolong our sense of relative safety, buy all sorts of insurances, treat our bodies in most unnatural, technology-driven, inhuman ways in order to prolog its functioning, and as a result our separateness from the nature and the world at large. And all that is because of our fear of impermanence of our unique view of the world, our values and ideals created by no other than our rational mind and the collective mind of the humanity. But do we even question these values? Don’t we see how absurd they are and where they lead the humanity?

No matter who you are or where you are, it is within your power to drop this fear of impermanence this very instant, nothing needs to be done, you don’t have to go through years of spiritual retreats and meditation in order to abandon this fear. It is the fear of impermanence that blocks the entire world from its natural functioning and moving on with its process of evolution. It seems to me that right now, thanks to the Covid outbreak and our disproportional, fear-based reaction to it, we are at the point where this underlying fear has been brought up to the very surface of consciousness in each and every one of us.

This is the time to make our most important decision. Do we want to continue living in fear and isolation trying to resist any damage done to our limited self-identity as persons and as humans? Or are we ready to accept the unknown mysteries of the world, let go of the fear, let go of the separateness, let the life bring us closer together with each other, with the nature and with the infinity.

There is no point in blaming others for our situation, starting a revolution or a war. The choice is personal and comes from the inside. All we need to do is to make this choice for ourselves, not for anyone else, not for the leaders of our countries or corporations, but for ourselves. The liberation of human spirit can come from nowhere else but from the inside, by liberating ourselves from our own fears of physical, mental and societal impermanence, which vanishes as soon as we allow ourselves to give birth to true compassion in a form of love and acceptance of everything and everyone in this world as it is, not the mental image of it or form we have created within our mind, but the true essence of the world that we share in all of us. Deep inside, none of us is ever separate from it, whether we are physically present in this world as a human form or not. Can we accept the death of our ego, or when the time comes, even our physical death, with gratitude and in full awareness? Not run and hide from it, but to see how a little fragment of the world, being incased in our isolated being and guarded by the ego, finally gets reintegrated into the bigger, infinite and immortal consciousness of the world?

Can we live like healthy cells in a body, fulfilling our functions and helping those around us to the best of our abilities, being content with what we are, our unique place in life, and what is required from us in this very moment? Not wishing to be anything than what we already are, evolving naturally and spontaneously as a part of the entire being and not as a separate self apart from the rest without being overly concerned about our personal future? Can we live without trying to own or consume everything we can put our hands on? Can we live without holding onto a very specific idea of ourselves, our self-identity and the idea of our perfect place in the world? Can we be like drops in the ocean sharing the transformative power of the ocean in all of us, endlessly intermingling in its eternals ebbs and flows? Or do we want to lie separated like hard, unmoving pebbles on the beach being eventually ground into sand and dust? What are we waiting for?

The choice is personal, but when it’s final and is made in full awareness, it affects all people around us and helps them make their choices. Our own conscious choice has the power to change the entire world. Now you know that power that you hold.
